Earth Day is an annual event celebrated by people all over the world on April, 22. People show their support by conserving energy within their homes and businesses. Many people simply don’t use energy at all on Earth Day. You can easily become an Earth Day activist by searching online. Many cities around the globe celebrate the day with festivals that feature fun activities for everyone in the family. Kids can participate in arts and crafts while learning all about the history and importance of Earth Day. Many communities use this day for volunteering activities such as cleaning up area parks, rivers and lakes.Additional information can be found at http://myoldtowneorange.com/2013/04/22/8-earth-day-tips-how-are-you-celebrating/.

Let your kids get involved in Earth Day celebrations. This is the best way to teach them about recycling and saving energy. Start a recycling program in your home to show your kids you support Earth Day. Attend the community events that your city plans in your area. Volunteering to clean up waste will help kids learn about protecting their environment. Consider using natural cleaning products to show your support for Earth Day. You can easily substitute harsh chemical cleaners for baking soda, hydrogen peroxide or borax. You can make your own laundry soap, tile and grout cleaner with these natural products.

Each and every year as Earth Day approaches more and more people try to find ways to save the planet and save a little money at the same time. This is because as people have become more accustomed to and informed about green ways of living they have come to realize that saving the environment is also a great way to save money as well. This is why you see more and more people seeking out new ways of living a better for the environment and their pocketbook lifestyle.

Some of the best ways to save the Earth and money at the same time are small changes that can easily be made. One of the top ways is to reuse as many products as possible. From saving scraps of paper to shred and then use as packing material to learning to always use both sides of paper for printing to gathering rain water for cleaning, these small steps can make a big difference.

You can use various methods to help the Earth and control your own costs when you learn how to turn leftover food in to compost that can then be used to replace costly fertilizer and how you can make household cleaners by using common kitchen ingredients that cost less and are less toxic to the planet. Save money on your energy costs by using energy more efficiently and shopping around for the best energy rates at sites like www.compareelectricityratesinhouston.com. In fact, for each and every small change you make you are saving money while helping to reduce your carbon footprint, which is what taxes the Earth.

Though these thoughts come up the most during Earth Day celebrations, it is important to always keep such measures in mind and always be thinking of new and creative ways to can recycle, reuse and reduce so you can help the Earth get back to a better overall state of being healthy.

There are a lot of ways people can help clean up the planet we live on. For some people the practice of recycling or using alternative energy sources, might be things they would like to do, but they never get around to taking that first step. Earth Day is a nationally recognized day where people around the world can choose to get involved in projects in their communities. Helping in a community project is a good way to start making more of an effort to clean up the planet. You could help plant trees in area parks or lick up litter on local roads.

If you are not sure where to find organizations for Earth day you can use the Internet to find helpful information. The first step to saving the planet and its natural resources cam begin by helping out with one day. The difference you make by planting trees for the day will be significant and you will be more likely to continue your efforts during other times of the year. By getting involved in your community or neighborhood you also create a bond with others who want to help conserve the planet’s natural resources. Participating in Earth day events can be a good place to start.

How to celebrate Earth Day every single day? It is easy to do so, but first, let’s see what the history is on this day. On April 22, 1970, a United States Senator, Gaylord Nelson, from Wisconsin brought about the first Earth Day along with approximately twenty million people across the country to make it known that there are ways to protect the earth and nature. Nelson decided to establish this once a year event after witnessing the horrific oil spill in Santa Barbara, California in 1969.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency was established to protect the earth and nature, thanks to the 1970 Earth Day.

Today, there are different laws that encourage people to be mindful of different types of pollution through the “Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species” Acts.

The next Earth Day will be on Monday, April 22, 2013.

There are some things that one can do to practice celebrating Earth Day on a daily basis, rather than waiting for the official day every year, such as:
	One can help the environment by planting trees
	Create things using nature items, another way to recycle
	Follow the thumb of three R’s; reduce, reuse, and recycle on a daily basis
	If one has something that is no longer of use to her or him, sell, donate, or recycle it, instead of discarding it
	Participate in street clean up
	Make meals using locally or organically grown foods
	Reduce the car usage and ride a bike
	Constantly learn more about the environment so one can better equip herself/himself at how to preserve the earth.

The mission of The Earth Society Foundation is to encourage conservation of our natural resources. The Foundation was started by Margaret Mead and John McConnell to help promote people to celebrate Earth Day. They celebrate Earth Day by ringing the Peace Bell at New York’s UN Headquarters. For more than thirty five years now this has been an annual Earth Day tradition. Another mission of The Earth Society Foundation is one for Peace. Foundation father John McConnell proposed the Star of Hope, a blinking satellite light to be seen by everyone on earth. This satellite would be a symbol of Peace and cooperation between nations in outer space. Another peace mission from the foundation comes in nineteen sixty three. After the assignation of President John F. Kennedy, John McConnell started work on a global Minute for Peace. This was an entire minute during which people from nations around the world could join in thoughts and prayers of peace. The first ever Minute for Peace was broadcast all around the globe on December the twenty second of nineteen sixty three at nineteen hundred hours GMT. So the over all main mission of The Earth Society Foundation is preserve and improve the earths conditions.
